Financial Customer Support Specialist

Job Title:  Financial Customer Support Specialist-Full-Time/Non-Exempt         
Work Location: Santa Fe, NM
 
Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide first level technical and financial customer support for a fast-paced company in an efficient and accurate manner.  This position is considered the company’s front line and Customer Support Specialists are expected to solve basic technical and financial issues and provide unconditionally positive customer service at all times.  The goal is to make sure that customer value is maintained to the standards set forth by the company.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide basic technical and financial assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to our customized financial processing and data collection system.
  • Address billing issues, payment questions, claims processing alerts, etc.
  • Ask clarifying questions to determine the nature of the issue the customer is having.
  • Guide customers through problem-solving processes.
  • Track and Properly Escalate tickets to the next level of support.
  • Ensure proper recording, documentation, and ticket closure.
  • Guide providers through the process of Vendor Revision, including execution of BAAs, Attestations, and Provider Contracts.
  • Process W9 and EFT changes for providers.
  • Assist customers with password resets and new account logins.
  • Receive and process provider identified recoupments.
  • Process Scope of Work (SOW) requests, inquiries, and submissions.
  • Process Change Request Forms (CRFs), which are used to move funds amongst providers  

Education, Work Experience, Qualities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Solid understanding of basic billing/financial principles.
  • Experience working with different types of software with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and website applications.
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Patience.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow-thru on tasks until completed.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
 
Physical Requirements
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting Qualitative and/or Quantitative Productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
