Falling Colors is looking for a Financial Analyst!

We design and build custom software solutions. Many of our clients are in the public/non-profit sector, with focuses like behavioral and mental health, child welfare, and community outreach.

 

Our Financial Analyst will support the Finance team in managing and maintaining budgets and finances. The role will provide high quality financial customer service, system configuration, and front-end user support. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business or related major, as well as 5+ years of experience in any related fields including Budget, Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Contracting/Purchasing. This job may require occasional overtime or off hours but most work will be performed during normal business hours. We are looking for someone who can operate effectively with little supervision and can manage multiple tasks at once.

Falling Colors

We are located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with offices in Denver, Philadelphia, and New York. Our new Financial Analyst will work onsite in our main Santa Fe office.

Responsibilities

– Oversee the financial aspects of processes including vendor registration, EFT verification, and bank deposits

– Perform basic reconciliation of financial systems including QuickBooks, bank accounts and in-house custom software

– Respond to inquiries about payment status and address any financial issues for vendors

– Perform a variety of data entry functions and basic financial projections for both internal and external financial management

– Provide technical assistance, support, and training for external users, using great customer service skills to exceed customer expectations

– Ask questions to determine nature of problems

– Walk customers through problem-solving processes

– Manage support tickets including tracking, escalation, documentation and closure

– Follow up with customers, provide feedback, and see issues through to resolution

– Ensure proper recording, documentation, and ticket closure

– Perform software testing for financial functionality

– Contribute to the development of effective, accurate financial test scripts and test cases

– Develop financial policies and procedures

– Maintain compliance with all company Policies and Procedures

– Performs other duties as requested

The Must Haves

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

– Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)

– Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow through on tasks until completed

– Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

– Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

– High school diploma or GED required

– 5 years of experience in any related field

The Good-to-Haves

– Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

– 10 years of experience in any related field preferred
