Falling Colors is looking for a Junior UX and Product Designer!

We design and build custom software solutions. Many of our clients are in the public/non-profit sector, with focuses like behavioral and mental health, child welfare, and community outreach.

 

The new Junior Designer will be part of the UX team at Falling Colors, and you will work closely with team members across the organization to produce a wide range of design deliverables. As part of our UX Team, you will focus first and foremost on creating delightful product experiences for our users. Additionally, you will have opportunities to contribute to other creative design projects, like rebranding our website, graphic designs for advertisements, and working with vendors to deliver beautiful quality print materials.

Falling Colors

Falling Colors is a small (~20 person) company, women-owned and women-founded. We are a diverse and open-minded team, with a mix of genders, ethnicities, and interests. We have parents and non-parents, self-taught and formally educated folk, introverts and extroverts, semi-professional ballroom dancers and golfers, gardeners, softball players, and VR hobbyists.

We are located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with offices in Denver, Philadelphia, and New York. Our new Junior Designer will work onsite in our main Santa Fe office.

Responsibilites

– Collaborate with the UX Team to prioritize and deliver thoughtful and beautiful design work
– Produce functional web and mobile application mockups and prototypes in Adobe XD
– Produce pixel perfect web and mobile application mockups using our existing library of XD components
– Make aesthetic and functional decisions about the products and graphical content you’re working on
– Add to and improve components in our XD Theme
– Complete your deliverables on-time and to your highest standards of quality

The Good to Haves

– Experience with Affinity Designer, Publisher, and/or Photo
– Experience with product and UX design
– Experience working with a team of software developers
– Experience designing data visualizations and reports
– Experience with Video Editing in Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro
– Experience creating content in Confluence
– Experience working on projects managed in Asana
– Experience running social media (instagram, facebook, twitter, webposts)

The Bonus Stuff

– Experience with WordPress
– Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
– Experience and interest in Front-End development
– Experience in healthcare software
– Experience with handling HIPAA protected data
– Relevant educational credentials
